Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can this configuration fit an outdoor propane meal with powered rotation and a pizza up to 16 inches?
Yes. Ultimate includes the same HZ-1004-ANA oven, with its rotating 16-inch stone and LP setup. Cart and cleaning accessories do not enlarge the cooking area.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I see heat at the oven without requiring a phone temperature feed?
Yes. The exact included oven manual lists a local heat indicator; no phone feed is identified. The bundle does not change that display.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I use natural gas if I accept purchasing the separately listed converter?
The same named oven page lists separate converter HZ-3001-A, not included in the Ultimate contents. Its exact converted setup and clearance remain unconfirmed in the LP manual.
Explore this need in the finder →The HALO Ultimate Pizza Oven Bundle is the Versa 16 in a more complete station package. Its exact product page lists the HZ-1004-ANA oven, a portable countertop cart, an HZ-5004 protective cover, a six-piece Cook + Serve kit and a two-piece stone-cleaning kit. The oven’s cooking capacity and fuel arrangement are not upgraded by those accessories: it is still an outdoor propane oven with a 16-inch rotating cordierite stone.
The useful difference is the support and cleanup kit
The cart changes the support arrangement for a cook who would otherwise need to provide a suitable surface. The current bundle page names the Outdoor Countertop Cart as model HO-1006-XNA, but it does not publish the assembled cart dimensions or a combined oven-and-cart weight. Measure the full proposed station rather than relying only on the oven footprint. The oven itself is 22.44 inches wide, 24.59 deep and 14.84 high; that is not the size of the assembled bundle.
The Cook + Serve kit adds 14- and 16-inch bamboo peels, a 16-inch stainless peel, a server handle, mezzaluna and tongs. The stone kit adds a nylon brush with a removable nylon scraper tip and an ash pan shaped to meet the stone. The cover is HZ-5004. This collection is most useful when the cart, handling tools and cleanup pieces all fill real gaps. If your patio already has a stable oven support or you already own peels and brushes, the extra pieces may just need storage. The base Versa 16, cover version and Essential package make the narrower comparisons.
Do not mistake accessory power for electric heat
HALO specifies a rear burner and lower infrared burner with a combined propane input of 21,100 BTU per hour. Its marketing gives an ambient maximum of 950°F, a stone temperature up to 750°F and an approximate 12-minute warm-up. Treat those as the manufacturer's statements rather than measured results, and do not turn them into a numeric setpoint: the manual describes a gas knob and pressure adjustment, not a controlled temperature range. The built-in heat indicator is an analog gauge, not a food probe or a phone display.
The stone motor is powered separately by the supplied AC adapter or two D-cell batteries; the D cells are not included, and the igniter needs its own AA battery. This matters if you want a pizza oven for a campsite: the burner still needs propane, and you will need a safe supply-cylinder setup and the proper power option for rotation. HALO separately lists a natural-gas conversion kit, HZ-3001-A. The bundle does not include that conversion in its component list, so a gas-line plan requires the additional kit and its matching instructions.
The manual identifies HZ-1004-ANA, says outdoor use only and sets a 10-foot separation from structures, combustible materials or another gas cylinder, plus 25 feet from flammable liquids. The cart does not reduce those distances, and a small patio can fail the location test even when the oven fits. Check local requirements and the delivered manual before setting up the burner. Gas fittings need a leak check before use.
Cooking and cleaning still require attention
A 16-inch rotating surface is the maximum advertised pie size, not room for two pizzas at once. Rotation can take over repeated turning, but you still need to stop the stone for launch and removal. The manual warns that the stone should rotate through preheating; heating it while the turntable is switched off risks damage. It stays very hot after the flame is off, so a cleaning brush or ash pan belongs in the routine only after the stone has cooled enough for safe handling.
The manual cautions against sudden temperature changes and says not to put the stone in a dishwasher or use soap on it. Remove crumbs and ash with the maker’s recommended tools, keep the clean-out tray clear and let the stone cool completely before cleaning. The cover protects the stored appliance; it does not mean the oven should be covered while hot or used through bad weather. The documented 43.54-pound oven weight does not establish the weight of the cart or assembled package, so anyone who needs a strict lifting threshold should treat the total as unknown.
Choose the bundle only if the whole station fits
The Ultimate package is a sensible shortlist candidate when you want the oven, a dedicated cart, cover, utensils and basic stone-cleaning tools together. It is not the automatic choice for every buyer: if you are going to place the oven on a counter you already own and have your own peels, the simpler base or Essential versions may be the better match. The cooking engine is common to the family; the Ultimate’s added value is support and included workflow gear, while its combined footprint and handling weight remain less completely specified than the oven alone.

Key details at a glance
| Fuel versions | The matched owner manual identifies standard LP propane with model-specific 1 lb and 20 lb regulator/hose assemblies; the product page lists 1 lb and 20 lb tanks. Natural-gas conversion kit HZ-3001-A is separately sold; its exact conversion setup/clearance instructions are not in the LP manual. |
|---|---|
| Maximum pizza on standard stationary floor | 16 in |
| Maximum pizza with matching optional rotating kit | 16 in |
| 12-inch pizzas at once on standard floor | 1 |
| Published standard-oven weight | 43.54 lb |
| Temperature hub supplied with oven | No |
| Food probes supplied with oven | 0 |
| Motorized stone supplied in base package | Yes |
| Manufacturer maximum temperature | 950 °F |
| Monitoring and controls | The exact parts list calls out local heat indicator HZ-1004-04 (an analog thermometer); no supplied food probe, phone temperature feed or remote flame control is documented. |
| Optional rotating setup | Motorized turntable rotates the 16-inch stone. It runs on two D-cell batteries (not included) or the supplied AC adapter; the separate igniter needs an AA cell. The adapter powers rotation, not oven heat. The manual says the turntable must remain on during preheat and should be stopped for launching/retrieving. |
| Space and measurement note | Oven-only dimensions 22.44 W × 24.59 D × 14.84 H inches and 43.54 lb. Bundle contents are separate: the Ultimate cart dimensions/combined weight are not reported. The dimensions are not installation clearances. |
| Stone care | The exact manual warns the cordierite stone is fragile and remains hot; cool fully before cleaning, avoid sudden thermal change, soap and dishwasher use, and clear the clean-out tray. Manual says outdoor use only and requires the stated gas safety clearances. |
| Cooking modes and limits | One gas control/adjustable LP regulator, no named pizza presets or exact controlled-temperature range published. HALO claims 950°F ambient/750°F stone, but these are not selectable setpoints. |
| Boost routine | No electrical heat Boost mode is documented; the rotation motor is a separate accessory drive. |
