Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does this exact outdoor Hybrid-R package support the manufacturer-illustrated two-12-inch layout on a selected natural-gas variant?
The exact U.S. page illustrates two 12-inch pizzas on the 38 x 28-inch hearth, and the native row offers factory natural-gas variants. Layouts are examples, not a maximum-capacity guarantee. The residential manual excludes indoor use.
Explore this need in the finder →Can an outdoor propane setup meet the Hybrid-R manual’s largest numeric clearance direction?
The current residential Hybrid-R manual gives 10-inch side and rear clearances and 18 inches above a noncombustible base. The 18-inch scalar is only the largest numeric direction; the full drawing and local installation requirements still apply.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the Hybrid-R provide a hand-tended wood plan with a fixed hearth rather than powered turning?
The manufacturer supports wood firing and its exact package lists no powered rotator. The 750 page illustrates two 12-inch pies but does not certify a three-10-inch layout or automatic rotation.

Chicago Brick Oven CBO 750 Hybrid with Stand review
The manufacturer’s preassembled residential Hybrid-R oven and custom heavy-duty stand in one package, with factory-selected gas, wood firing and an outdoor-only installation plan.

The CBO 750 Hybrid with Stand is the assembled support-format version of Chicago Brick Oven’s residential Hybrid-R. Unlike the DIY kit, its named package includes a custom-built heavy-duty stand; unlike the countertop edition, the listing does not leave you to source a separate support counter. Its oven still combines wood-fired cooking with a factory-selected natural-gas or propane burner system. The model is explicitly residential and outdoor-only under the current Hybrid-R manual. It is a substantial fixed cooking station, not a portable patio oven: the stand specification lists 1,051 pounds for oven with stand.
One purchase includes the support, not the site work
The manufacturer’s stand sheet lists the preassembled oven, custom-built heavy-duty stand, metal insulated hood, the gas package chosen for natural gas or propane and altitude, and an accessory package with a peel, brush and infrared thermometer. Its 38-by-28-inch cooking hearth and two-burner arrangement belong to the 750 Hybrid family. The 1,051-pound figure describes oven with stand; the sheet does not establish a complete shipping or installed weight, floor rating, outdoor-kitchen footprint or allowance for local chimney work. Do not infer casters or frequent-move portability from the word “stand.”
This format can reduce one design decision—fabricating an independent support—but it does not remove placement planning. Confirm the delivery route, final surface, gas line, chimney and side/rear/overhead clearances with the manufacturer’s current drawings and a qualified installer. If your project already has a designed counter, compare the skirted and recessed Hybrid Countertop versions. If you want the oven shell and intend to build the masonry support yourself, compare the residential Hybrid-R DIY kit instead. Each is a different exact product, not a finish choice on this stand package.
Dual fuel is useful only when the selected utility matches
The Hybrid-R has a rear ambient burner plus a below-hearth infrared burner. The manufacturer lists inputs of 39,000 BTU each for natural gas; on propane, it lists 35,000 BTU at the ambient burner and 34,500 BTU at the infrared burner. Those ratings describe gas input and do not establish a preheat time or a measured cooking result. The switches select the two burner functions, not left and right zones. The product page also describes a wood-fired mode, which changes the cook’s job to tending the fire and turning pizzas manually rather than selecting a digital program.
The native product offers three finishes—Silver Vein, Copper Vein and Solar Black—each with natural-gas or propane versions and a manufacturer-labelled altitude choice of up to 3.99K feet or over 4K feet. The gas burner version is factory configured and not field-convertible. Before committing, match the gas service and the installation’s actual elevation to the precise SKU; the maker’s altitude labels should be confirmed for a site near their boundary. Choosing wood as a cooking method does not authorize substituting a different gas package.
A spacious illustrated layout, with important unknowns
The exact CBO 750 page shows two 12-inch pizzas together on its 38-by-28-inch hearth. The company describes the drawing as an example, not a maximum-capacity statement. It supports that illustrated arrangement but not three 10-inch pizzas at once, a larger maximum diameter or a throughput claim. The hearth is fixed; there is no listed automatic turner or rotator in the stand package. The supplied infrared thermometer is a handheld point-check tool, not a built-in display, food probe or app connection.
The stand model therefore suits a household that has room and a genuinely permanent outdoor cooking area, wants a factory-matched gas burner plus a wood option, and would rather receive a matching stand than design a separate support. It is poorly matched to a renter, an indoor request, a small deck with uncertain loading, a frequent mover or someone who wants app control and hands-off rotation. The product’s “residential” label does not relax the manual’s outdoor restriction.
Install to the manual, not the photo
The current Hybrid-R manual specifies 10 inches at the sides, 10 inches behind and 18 inches above on a noncombustible base, with the front and above kept clear for combustion and ventilation airflow. A single clearance number cannot substitute for that directional drawing. Follow local building, chimney and gas rules, and give the installer the exact manual and selected variant before placement. Follow the current Hybrid-R fuel-specific cure instructions; do not treat high-temperature marketing copy as independent performance testing.
Choose the right CBO 750 package
The Hybrid with Stand is the cleanest comparison for a buyer who wants the oven and a manufacturer-supplied heavy-duty stand together. The skirted Hybrid Countertop adds a decorative skirt but still calls for a separate support counter; the recessed Hybrid Countertop omits the skirt for a custom-finished installation; the Hybrid DIY Kit leaves more of the support build to the project. If gas is unnecessary, the distinct wood-only CBO 750 Countertop or DIY package avoids the Hybrid burner choice. In every case, check residential versus commercial identity, fuel, altitude and exact package before ordering.
