A practical comparison

Bertello SimulFIRE Rotating Essentials, Pro or Ultimate?

All three packages use the same rotating oven

Bertello’s Essentials, Pro and Ultimate listings share the SimulFIRE 16-inch Rotating outdoor oven. The meaningful difference is what arrives with it, not a different cooking chamber or bigger burner. All three pages describe a 16-by-16-inch cordierite floor, powered stone rotation, dual FlameThrower gas burner, wood tray and cover. The pages say gas and wood can be cooked together, and explain that the rotating stone can run from a cord or AA batteries. Those are manufacturer product descriptions, not a promise of a particular bake or a substitute for the current safety manual.

Because the core oven is the same, compare each package with accessories you already own. A bundle is not automatically a better value because it has more pieces; it is useful only when the included tools fit your cooking routine and are not duplicates.

Choose by the actual box list

  • Essentials: rotating oven, metal peel, cover and listed burner/wood equipment. This is the simplest of the three packages if one metal peel is enough.
  • Pro: the Essentials-style oven package plus a bamboo peel. It suits a cook who expects to stage or handle dough with two peel surfaces. The exact product page lists both; it does not claim a new burner, temperature system or oven capacity.
  • Ultimate: both listed peels, a cover and eight 16-ounce dough balls. Bertello says the dough set covers 16 pizzas, with one ball making two 12-inch pies. Choose it when that prepared dough is wanted; it does not establish that the oven accepts a 16-inch pie.

Before ordering, read the current exact listing and cart confirmation. The archived product titles include pre-order and sale-end language that can become stale. A changing promotion is not an appliance feature, and availability does not determine whether an observed configuration belongs in a comparison.

Do not equate the stone with the largest pizza

The manufacturer publishes a 16-by-16-inch cooking surface and 0.66-inch cordierite thickness, but the reviewed pages do not give a maximum usable pizza diameter, entrance width or movement clearance. A square 16-inch stone is not proof of a 16-inch round pie rotating inside the oven. If your dough size is fixed, ask Bertello for a supported usable diameter for the powered rotating configuration before buying. The included Ultimate dough portion is explicitly described for 12-inch pies; treat that as dough guidance, not a maximum-capacity certification.

The oven is a large outdoor station: Bertello lists dimensions of 33.46 by 19.80 by 17.99 inches with the burner attached, but does not identify the axis order, and gives an unboxed weight of 59.48 pounds. Those are useful footprint and handling checks, not safety clearances. Measure the support surface and working space; the product is not presented as indoor equipment. Its turning motor may use a cord or batteries, but a powered stone does not make the burner electric and does not provide a temperature reading.

Keep the unresolved manual in view

The exact rotating pages describe included gas and wood hardware and a claimed dual-burner design. They do not document natural-gas conversion, precise hookup instructions, clearances, motor voltage, battery life or cleaning steps for the turntable. Bertello’s FAQ links a 2022 Grande manual, but that older document does not identify the present powered rotating bundle. Ask for a current model-specific manual and confirm the rating label before assembly or fuel connection. No package upgrade resolves this instruction gap.

In short: Essentials is the one-peel choice, Pro is the two-peel choice, and Ultimate adds the stated dough supply. If you do not value the listed accessory difference, compare the base rotating oven listing rather than choosing a higher bundle name. A precise pizza diameter, indoor approval, natural-gas configuration or exact safety clearance needs direct confirmation—not inference from “16-inch” or “Ultimate.”
